Because the shoe design carries an Indonesian regional theme, the shoe design is inspired by the Surabaya Sawunggaling Legend which is inseparable from the 'Rooster' symbol. As told about his background, Jaka Berek is the nickname of Sawunggaling. A brave man who was never defeated. He always carries a rooster wherever he goes. My version of the Sawunggaling ornament is made with lines, contrasting colors but does not eliminate the vintage elements and implements a more modern illustration. There are supporting ornaments with clover flower motifs which are also a typical Surabaya element.
